When I look at my work I see a reoccurring theme which expresses a state of humbleness and vulnerability.  A human quality that I respect and admire.  

     While listening to my guts, I like to start off with an object and keep that object moving using what arrives at each random corner as an instrument of perception.

      In this case I started with a skateboard deck.  I deconstructed it by cutting it up into hundreds of pieces beyond recognition.  The pieces were reconstructed into a mask that I call Woody.  For me, Woody’s facial expression says, “DON’T FUCK WITH WOODY!!!”
